Supermodel Bella Hadid who has always been raising her voice for Muslims around the globe raises awareness about flood-affected areas across Pakistan

Bella Hadid

An Instagram post by a Palestinian-American model described the devastation caused by the monsoon rains and floods in Pakistan in great detail.

The model posted an image from UNICEF with the caption, “Help Pakistan’s Children Now,” and said, “This doesn’t even seem real, but is a reality to so many. More than a thousand people have died in the severe flooding across Pakistan, with a third of the victims being children.

The model elaborated on the devastating losses caused by this disaster. At least 33 million people in Pakistan’s four provinces were impacted by the devastating monsoon rains that fell from June through August of 2022. Crops on 4 million acres were wiped out, and 800,000 animals were killed. This will have a devastating effect on the economy and the psychological well-being of the people of Pakistan.

The model text read: “UNICEF is on the ground, delivering lifesaving medical supplies, safe water and nutrition, mental health support, educational resources, and more. Please consider making a donation today to help the millions of people affected by this environmental crisis.” In case you’d like to make a donation, I’ve included a link in my bio. If not, spreading the word about the environmental crisis and the people affected is critical. “I love you all, and God bless you.”

Pakistanis are grateful for the initiative taken by model Bella Hadid, who stated that she is using her platform to raise awareness about such an important issue.
