Ever since the song is released, Pasoori has broken all the records. From being played at weddings to becoming the most Googled track in 2022, this song clearly dominated all the local and international charts. The Ali Sethi and Shae Gill Pasoori has become the most streamed Pakistani song for 2022 on Spotify, as mentioned in a press release.
We saw Pasoori being played in dance practices, Coke Studio, TikToks and even on other video/photo sharing apps.
According to Spotify’s Wrapped Insights, the melodious Punjabi song was equally liked by local and international fans and within 10 months of its release, it managed to surpass the records of all Pakistani songs for this year.
The singers seemed overjoyed with the news. Ali Sethi became overwhelmed with all the love the song received and said, “Pasoori has surpassed expectations, overcome prejudices, and broken so many records. I am so proud of Pasoori for achieving these milestones while fully embodying its message of inclusion.”
Shae Gill too is enjoying all the attention and admiration Pasoori is getting.
She labelled it as “A huge achievement for Pakistan and something that we all can be proud of.”
