A new music and cultural initiative, Humnava, has officially launched its Season 1 with the release of its debut track titled Hairan Amanam, recorded in the scenic region of Hunza Valley. The project introduces a collaborative artistic vision that blends traditional heritage with contemporary global sounds.
The platform is co-founded by music producer Xulfi and Muhammad Ibrahim, and is designed as a cross-cultural music and art movement. It aims to connect artists from Pakistan and around the world through shared creative experiences and collaborative production.
Season 1 of Humnava brings together more than 30 musicians and contributors from diverse regions, including Pakistan, France, Germany, Algeria, Zambia, and various local communities from Hunza. The initiative was developed during an intensive music camp where artists lived and worked together, composing and recording music in a fully collaborative environment.
The debut track Hairan Amanam, a Burushaski-language composition meaning “I am in awe,” was recorded live in Hunza. It features emerging artists Rizwan Abbas and Maheen Sattar, alongside international musicians from Germany and Algeria, reflecting the platform’s focus on global artistic integration.
Produced by Xulfi, the song blends traditional and modern instrumentation, including rubab, acoustic and electric guitars, flutes, and electronic synth elements. The composition explores themes of love, transformation, and emotional depth, capturing the essence of human connection and cultural expression.
The writing credits include Zulfiqar Ali Khan Bercha, while composition is attributed to Xulfi, Bercha, and Fahim Uddin Hunzai. The accompanying visual project has been directed by Aamir Mughal, further enhancing the narrative and artistic identity of the release.
Following this debut, Humnava Season 1 will continue with a lineup of upcoming tracks such as “Noor-e-Nazar,” “Qataghani,” “Holoyor,” “Sway,” “Lost in Love,” “Koi Achi Khabar,” “Isketa,” and “Darmaan.” Each release is expected to contribute to a broader artistic journey centered on cultural fusion and global collaboration.
The launch marks a notable step in positioning Pakistan as a growing hub for international creative exchange, particularly in music innovation and cross-border artistic collaboration.
