Most celebrities enjoy impersonation because that is also a measure of their success. However, sometimes people cross their limits and then the celebrities feel compelled to call them out to avoid any mishap. Recently, the Dobara actress Hadiqa Kiani fell prey to an online user who was using her name and posting horrific pictures of children.
Kiani said that this is not the first time someone is impersonating her. However, this particular user was using the actor’s name to spread objectionable data. Kiani also clarified that all her social media accounts are verified and have a Blue tick mark.
The singer-cum-actress took to Instagram and shared a story requesting her followers to report the Twitter account using her name. She wrote, “Someone using the name @HadiqaKiani0 is impersonating me on Twitter. Please report.”
The actor also specified that usually she is not bothered about such fake accounts, however, this time, the user is posting content that is against her ideology.
“Normally I’m not even bothered after being impersonated countless times, but this person is posting horrific photos of children using my name! What motivates people to go to such lengths is impossible for me to understand,” she added.
She further added to avoid any confusion, “All of my accounts on social media are verified with a blue tick mark,” and mentioned her official Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
Recently, Saba Qamar also became victim to a fake profile where a user bought a verified account and started using it in Qamar’s name. She then shared her real account on social media and wrote “This is my official Twitter handle so these small unknown pages should stop spreading fake information for the sake of being in the limelight.”
