Akshay Kumar Undergoes Eye Surgery After Completing Film Shoot in Kerala

Indian actor Akshay Kumar is reportedly taking a short break from work after undergoing a minor eye surgery in Mumbai, according to media reports.

The 58-year-old actor recently completed the Kerala shooting schedule of his upcoming film alongside Vidya Balan and director Anees Bazmee before proceeding with the medical procedure.

Sources cited by Indian media, including Hindustan Times, stated that the surgery was carried out on the morning of May 6 and was performed for vision correction purposes. The procedure has been described as minor, with doctors advising a brief rest period for recovery.

According to the report, Akshay Kumar is currently on a short recovery break following the completion of his Kerala shoot schedule. The actor had earlier shared updates from the film set on social media, including a video featuring Vidya Balan during the filming process.

The upcoming project marks another collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, who have previously worked together on multiple successful films. It also reunites Akshay with director Anees Bazmee after a gap of nearly 15 years, adding significant interest among fans and the film industry.

Akshay Kumar, often referred to as the “Khiladi” of Bollywood, continues to maintain a busy professional schedule despite his brief medical break. His recent film Bhoot Bangla has also been performing strongly at the global box office.
