Kit Harington & Sophie Turner Reunite in a Haunting Horror Film
Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Sophie Turner have officially wrapped up filming for their highly anticipated gothic horror film, The Dreadful.
Six years after their journey as Jon Snow and Sansa Stark, the duo is back on screen together—this time in a dark, spine-chilling period horror set in medieval times.
A Tale Set in the War of the Roses Era
The film, written and directed by Natasha Kermani, is rooted in the War of the Roses, a historical conflict that also served as the inspiration behind George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones universe.
With a focus on medieval horror elements, The Dreadful aims to deliver an intense and gripping cinematic experience.
A Strong Cast for a Terrifying Story
Harington and Turner aren’t the only Game of Thrones alumni in this project. Laurence O’Fuarain, known for his work in The Witcher and GoT Season 5, also joins the cast.
Additional actors bringing the horror to life include:
- Jonathan Howard (Thor: The Dark World)
- Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River, The Mist)
Production Wraps in Cornwall, UK
Filming for The Dreadful was completed in Cornwall, England, a region known for its hauntingly beautiful landscapes, making it an ideal backdrop for a gothic horror film.
The movie will be distributed by True Brit Entertainment, while Turner takes on a co-producer role alongside industry veterans Luke Daniels, Patrick Hibler, Adam G. Simon, Bull Blumenthal, and Lucas Jarach.
While an official release date is yet to be announced, the project has already generated major excitement, as fans eagerly await to see Harington and Turner share the screen once again—this time in a chilling, horror-packed medieval world.
