Fortnite Introduces White Widow and Winter Soldier Skins Ahead of Thunderbolts Film
As Marvel gears up for the release of its highly anticipated film Thunderbolts, Fortnite players are set to experience the action early with the arrival of new superhero skins and accessories. Beginning April 30 at 8 PM ET, fans can dive into exclusive content featuring two of Marvel’s most compelling anti-heroes: White Widow and the Winter Soldier.
Comic-Style Skins with Cel-Shaded Appeal
These new outfits will feature special “Pen and Ink” variants, offering a striking cel-shaded, comic book-inspired look. The stylized design pays homage to Marvel’s illustrated legacy, giving characters a unique aesthetic inside the Fortnite universe.
White Widow, known from Black Widow and Hawkeye, comes with a full set of gear, including:
- White Widow’s Fangs Pickaxe
- White Widow’s Pack Back Bling
- White Widow Wrap
- Widow’s Mac Emote – a quirky nod to her famous macaroni and cheese scene
The Winter Soldier pack is equally compelling, featuring:
- Armament Axe Pickaxe
- Winter Soldier’s Spare Back Bling
- Winter Soldier Wrap
- A special Arm-Up emote, inspired by Bucky Barnes’ iconic shield catch
Thunderbolts Cup: A Competitive Path to Early Access
Before these items go live in the Item Shop, players will have the opportunity to unlock them early through the Thunderbolts Cup on April 25. This Duos Battle Royale competition runs for three hours, allowing teams up to 10 matches.
Prize tiers include:
- White Widow Skin for top-performing duos
- Winter Soldier Wrap for 8 points
- White Widow Wrap for 40 points
To participate, players must be Level 50 or above, have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled, and be using a non-cabined account.
