Darlings are trending on Netflix because of its unique story and marvelous acting of all the actors, especially Alia Bhatt. Darlings is the story of a woman named Badrunissa aka Badru who initially fell in love with a guy and got married to him, but this marriage turned into a violent marriage because of his vicious husband. Badru did everything to make this marriage work out, but it was getting even worse. In the meantime, Badru gets pregnant and her husband aka Hamza gets violent again and she miscarries. Later on, Badrunissa and her mother Shamsunissa plotted a plan to take revenge on her ruthless husband.
Darlings is based upon domestic violence and revenge from women in the, most mysterious way possible. So is the storyline of Churails, which was a bold Pakistani web series that only aired on Zee5. The story of Churails is somehow similar to Darlings. As the story includes 4 women Sara (Sarwat Gilani), a lawyer that gave her career up to be the “perfect wife”, Jugnu (Yasra Rizvi), a wedding planner, Zubaida (Mehar Bano), a boxer seeking independence and love, and Batool (Nimra Bucha), an ex-convict who was sentenced to twenty years in prison for murder.
All of them who belonged to different backgrounds faced domestic violence and their partners cheated on them. who went through the most difficult situations but couldn’t right the wrong happening with them. Finally got together to fight back and torture the man who destroyed their lives. Like Darlings, Churails also plotted a mysterious plan to hit back.
The storyline of both shows correlates with each other to so much extent. But one of them got too much hype. Might be because of the bigger platform and more famous cast. And other remained unrecognized because of less acknowledgment.
