Pakistani singer-turned-entertainer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan continues to evolve his creative journey, announcing the launch of a dedicated film and acting academy aimed at training aspiring actors with a particular emphasis on linguistic excellence.
In addition to his ongoing work with a music training institute, Chahat emphasized the need for structured guidance in the performing arts.
“There are so many people with raw talent but no access to proper mentorship,” he stated. “This academy will provide the environment they need to develop into serious performers.”
The academy distinguishes itself by prioritizing language and speech training—a rare approach in mainstream Pakistani acting programs. Students will begin their education with rigorous coaching in Urdu, Punjabi, and English pronunciation, tone, and expression, helping them build a versatile foundation for acting careers in television, cinema, and digital content.
“Language is the gateway to emotional performance,” Chahat said. “Actors need to feel and deliver dialogue in multiple tongues.”
In tandem with this announcement, Chahat revealed that his debut film, titled The Darling, is set for a wide theatrical release in Pakistan later this year. The film will be screened in approximately 50 cinemas nationwide.
Although previously involved in film projects, The Darling marks his first official theatrical release and promises to bring a “powerful, relatable story” to audiences.
Chahat also intends to use his strong online following to elevate students of both his music and acting academies, aiming to spotlight their talent on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
“I’m building a pipeline of polished talent,” he said, “and I want producers to know—this is where they’ll find tomorrow’s stars.”
He acknowledged that some of his initiatives have drawn criticism from fellow musicians, but maintains that constructive change often faces resistance.
