Akshay Kumar Dismisses ‘Hera Pheri 3’ Speculations After Gujarat Reunion with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal
Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar recently thrilled fans by reuniting with Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty, his co-stars from the hit comedy ‘Hera Pheri.’ Fans were quick to speculate that the gathering hinted at progress on ‘Hera Pheri 3,’ but Akshay and Suniel clarified that the reunion was purely for the 16th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament 2024.
Akshay shared the clarification in an Instagram post with a video from the tournament, captioning it, “At the 16th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament 2024, two Guinness World Records were shattered, making it a truly memorable day—no ‘Hera Pheri’ involved.” He warmly thanked Paresh and Suniel for joining him at the event, saying, “Our very own Babu bhaiya and Shyam made the event extremely special.”
A Gathering for Sports, Not Cinema
The Gujarat event showcased young Kudo champions, who displayed exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and dedication. Akshay expressed pride in witnessing the participants’ discipline and team spirit, underscoring his passion for promoting the sport of Kudo. The actor’s Instagram post confirmed that his reunion with Paresh and Suniel was not related to the ‘Hera Pheri’ franchise.
Adding his own light-hearted touch, Suniel Shetty also posted several photos on social media. He captioned them, “The Dhoom Dhadaka Orchestra is Back!!! But no Hera Pheri this time. Just all-out Kudo Action!” With this clarification, he too dashed fans’ hopes for an imminent ‘Hera Pheri’ revival.
