Actress Humaira Asghar Ali Found Dead Amid Eviction Proceedings in Karachi’s Defence

The Pakistani entertainment community is mourning the sudden and tragic passing of actress Humaira Asghar Ali, who was found dead on Tuesday in her flat in Defence Phase 6, Karachi.

Police officials revealed that the discovery occurred during a court-ordered eviction in the Ittehad Commercial Area. Law enforcement, alongside a court bailiff, arrived to vacate the apartment following non-payment of rent. When repeated attempts to contact the resident failed, the door was forced open, and the 42-year-old actress was found unresponsive.

Investigators said Humaira had been living in the residence without any known roommates or family for over seven years. Her body showed no immediate signs of trauma, and a post-mortem examination is underway to determine the cause of death. The forensic team collected samples and evidence from the flat, which has since been sealed for further investigation.

Known for her performances on reality TV, particularly Tamasha Ghar, and her role in the feature film Jalaibee, Humaira Asghar was also a prominent figure in fashion shoots and modeling circles throughout the 2010s. Despite her public persona, she had gradually stepped away from the media spotlight.

This is the second celebrity death in Karachi within a month, following the discovery of 84-year-old actress Ayesha Khan in similar circumstances. That incident also highlighted the loneliness many former entertainment figures may experience later in life, often without community or family support.

Police are continuing their investigation while awaiting the medical examiner’s report to clarify the timeline and possible reasons behind Humaira’s untimely death.
