While the previous film, Pathaan, offered a humorous take on the friendship between Tiger and Pathaan, Tiger 3 promises to be a much more intense affair. The plot of Tiger 3 demands a certain level of seriousness, which will be reflected in all the film’s action sequences. According to a trade source who spoke to Bollywood Hungama, the two megastars will be teaming up for a major jailbreak scene that will be shot over a two-week period at Yash Raj Studio in Mumbai this coming April.

In this extended action scene, Tiger and Pathaan will face a formidable adversary. “Tiger’s character has taken on the likes of ISI and ISIS single-handedly, so there’s nothing he can’t handle by himself,” the source explained. “But in this film, he’s up against his biggest challenge yet, and he finds himself locked up in a prison with the Indian bodybuilding legend Varinder Singh Ghuman as the villain of the piece. Pathaan comes to Tiger’s aid, and together the two heroes take on Ghuman and his gang in what will be the film’s biggest action sequence set in a jail.”

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 is set to be the most ambitious Indian action film ever made, and it will be released during the Diwali weekend in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Emraan Hashmi plays the film’s main villain in this spy thriller.
